The first single from the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack is out today! The track is called “All Is Love,” by Karen O and The Kids. In addition to the ridiculously rad “all star players” Karen worked with on the soundtrack, the music benefits from the extra kick of a ragtag children’s choir in the vein of The Langley School Music Project.
If you are one of the few people who haven’t seen their much-blogged renditions of various classic rock radio gems you should definitely spend some time today at the PS22 chorus blog. A new take on a trusted model, there you will see what it’s like to be a school kid growing up in the internet age- singing with Stevie Nicks at Madison Square Garden, recording with Passion Pit, and vibing out with daytime talk show hosts the world over. You know, kid stuff.
Spike Jonze’s feature film rendition of Maurice Sendaks classic story Where The Wild Things Are has hit movie theaters worldwide.
The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees.
This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that converged to make this massive project a reality.
