One nifty side effect of social networks is their ability to publicize (and therefore create) micro-trends– trends that wouldn’t otherwise spread beyond a group of real-life friends but, thanks to the internet, can blossom and mutate on a global scale.
Exhibit A in this vein is bumper stickers for shoes: a self-explanatory idea which is charmingly illustrated for the world to see on Laser Bread’s Flickr page.
Randomly came across this adorable lovingly hand-made Max costume on Flickr. Crafty creator Kitjule1010 says: “Max costume (Where the Wild Things Are) I made for my son b/c no costume company makes one. :)”
Spike Jonze’s feature film rendition of Maurice Sendaks classic story Where The Wild Things Are has hit movie theaters worldwide.
The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees.
This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that converged to make this massive project a reality.
