That’s right this Sunday our favorite bookstore Family plays host to the release of the fantastic making of WTWTA book Heads On And We Shoot. Spike’s going to be signing copies, shaking hands and kissing babies. Promises to be a blast. Family is a wonderful, but petite place so early arrival is suggested.

RJ Shaughnessy hit the photosphere pretty hard a few weeks back when the above images and their golden-hour-lensed companions ran a full court press on the internet. The series, showcasing a free-wheeling journey through the heart of Egypt, is not the only portfolio on Shaughnessy’s site which warrants exploring. Some of our favorites include: a fashion spread chasing unkempt teens across Los Angeles in search of Werner Herzog, a classic 60’s inspired black and white editorial of Oakland street life, and the crystal clear chronicles of a seabound beatnik stranded off the coast of the Maldives.
Well this week Shaughnessy’s back with a brand new book of photos entitled “Your Golden Opportunity is Comeing Very Soon.” Set to drop this Thursday at 7:30pm the self-published hardback will be the guest of honor at one of our favorite places supported by the beautiful melodies of one of our favorite bands.

Spike Jonze’s feature film rendition of Maurice Sendaks classic story Where The Wild Things Are has hit movie theaters worldwide.
The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees.
This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that converged to make this massive project a reality.
