It’s here, just in time for the weekend! We first brought you word of Spike’s new movie last August, when it was still just a “secret robot short film.” After the Sundance premiere in January, Nieves released a zine, Opening Ceremony designed flipbooks and a window display, and now finally Absolut has posted I’m Here in its entirety online. Go check out the robot romance if you’re 21 or older, and stay tuned for even more radness surrounding this lovely short!

This indeed looks rad, but I went to the site and it said I had to wait 1h 21 for the next “showing” .. I’ll see it sometime when I can click play on a youtube/vimeo, the interface around it is too wonky.

Wow. Very poetic, beautiful – but also very sad and dark, in a way. Very soft, like love without passion, just sensibility.
Well, wow. Lot to think about!

    Thank you!

Lovely, so lovely. I feel spoilt this week. Yet another film that has made me wish I could be involved in the filmmaking process (*sigh* too bad it can never happen). Well done.

  5. Wow! This is definitely the coolest short film I have ever seen.

  6. That’s one of the best short films I’ve ever seen!

Oh my! These was one of the most moving pieces of filmmaking I’ve ever had the chance to see!! And the fact that you made it public for free (overseas even!) was like getting a truly wonderful gift in an otherwise dry (emotionally) season!
Thank you so much… You’ve really lifted my spirit and got me out of the blue (isn’t it magical that 29 min of beautiful storytelling can do that for you?).
