Like bats out of hell, Canadian filmmakers Corey Adams and Alex Craig are swooping into cinemas to revolutionize your concept of the skate film. Machotaildrop, their ambitious debut feature, is the awe-inspiring result of blood, sweat, and $1,000,000 in prize money from a Fuel TV short film contest. Our buddy Jeff from Booooooom tipped us off months ago to the radness of Machotaildrop, and this just-released trailer has only fanned the flames of our excitement. Spike Jonze’s feature film rendition of Maurice Sendaks classic story Where The Wild Things Are has hit movie theaters worldwide.
The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees.
This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that converged to make this massive project a reality.

I saw this film at TIFF this fall. The art direction in this film is fantastic. If it comes to your town it’s worth your time to go check it out. The acting of the various pro skaters sprinkled through the film is pretty good. Amazing work Corey and Alex.
I love that this isn’t “X-treme” like Ryan Sheckler movies or trying to be overly dramatic like “Street Dreams” (although I give Dyrdek and P. Rod props, it made me cringe).
Instead of fitting into skate stereotypes, it looks like they’ve made up their own rules in an alternate reality, which makes this so fresh.
