To celebrate the DVD release of Aaron Rose’s epic art documentary, Beautiful Losers, approximately a million rad people and entities including Amoeba Music and Oscilloscope Laboritories are coming together to host an all-out bash at Cinefamily in Los Angeles. Spike, Harmony Korine, Geoff McFetridge, and Mike Mills are just a few of the contributors to the special event, screening rare short films and exclusive interviews. Tickets are available here.
Spike Jonze’s feature film rendition of Maurice Sendaks classic story Where The Wild Things Are has hit movie theaters worldwide.
The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees.
This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that converged to make this massive project a reality.

I was discussing with my boyfriend if Spike is considered a Beautiful Loser… he wasn’t in the documentary…
Anyway, I already bought my tickets.
When I went to the Maurice Sendak documentary screening at Cinefamily Mike Mills was there. It was sick! Hope he comes back for this and I want Twist to come but that’s probably a long shot.
But you know what sucks, I emailed whoevers contact info is at the Beautiful Losers website for months and months about a release date for the DVD and never got a reply back so I bought the European release a couple months ago and now the US release it available BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO URNS
