Information
Spike Jonze’s feature film rendition of Maurice Sendaks classic story Where The Wild Things Are has hit movie theaters worldwide.
The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees.
This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that converged to make this massive project a reality.

This poster is rediculously awesome! I want one for my daughter’s room…
I’m pretty sure this poster hung in my public library up until at least 2000. Brings back great memories of going there as a small child with my grandmother. Thanks for sharing.
yay, my parents had a bookstore from the late seventies to the early nineties with a large assortment of kids books (a whole floor actually… :-D ) and this was definitely on the wall. :-D I also recall they sold a set of the book with a stuffed wild thing and the kid too I think.
So cool to find this blog, it’s a big ol’ stroll down memory lane.
Always Loved this poster. I had one on the door of my room as child. That’s why I made a “reading is fun” illustration for Terrible Yellow Eyes tribute to monsieur Sendak.
